Bisk isk Back

Bisk the Human

So Bisk posted a video response to his video for "Gloomy" on my Youtube account (in February...eesh), leading me to find that Naohiro Fujikawa's Bisk is officially out of hiatus...and that his new stuff is INSANE.
I had to pick up his new 2012 record 'Memorabilia' -- currently melting my ears with his electronic virtuoso in unfamiliar or further collage insanity, heightened by even crazier drums and prevalence of vocal samples.

I could (want) to up 'Memorabilia' with his go-ahead, but in the nice time you should listen to his unreleased beats 'Back To The Past Preparing For The Next' [As of this post, Bisk uploaded the whole album FOFREE(!) Check the tracks below]

Young Montana? - Limerence

Young Montana? is the moniker of Jon Pritchard, a young producer/sample-chef from the UK.
His 2011 debut album is an electronic/beat blender spliced into keys, samples, and the outlying (but oosoosmoov) producer/MC combo with Stainless Steele on "Suchbeats".
Any hip-hop head or electronic brainiac should find a nice meeting place throughout 'Limerence', with enough density to warrant repeat rendezvous.

adrift - Black Heart Bleeds Black

Latest release from adrift.
The wait since 2008's crushing 'Monolito' has been well-met, just under an hour of their trademark monolithic roars and riffs.  The opening three songs are so dense that the following acoustic song "Waves" can only be interpreted as a breather in the near-suffocating wake, before pulling you back under for the concluding four-song assault.
"Erich Zann Environment", which succinctly mirrors its H.P. Lovecraft influence, shows a side of the band never yet revealed -- an all instrumental, moody and dark, prog-induced dirge that really makes the impact of the final two songs more monumental and kinetic.
While 'Monolito' had standout tracks like "Scar Thunder" and "Find Your Own Hell", 'Black Heart Bleeds Black' holds together like an inseparable phalanx, with the only chink in the armor being the slightly misaligned "Waves".

Aussitôt Mort - Nagykanizsa

Latest 2012 release/compilation from Aussitôt Mort

The canon of post-hardcore/metal mania has been stretched and solidified their potential; kinetic but spacious/layered audio-monuments built up and broken down within the five track chronicle.
Noticeable improvements or expansion to their vocal approach/range, but all around impressive.

The last track is the only song exclusive to this release, with the first two appearing on the 'La Ride Du Lion' EP (sweet cover-art, that I assume was done by the same person who made the flyer I copped as the site banner), and the next two being on the split with Heaven In Her Arms.

Ed Gein - Bad Luck

Latest 2011 release from Ed Gein.
The drummer dropped vox but their trading vocal-ricochet is maintained between the guitarist/bassist, making for a pounding but discernible assault from the Intro to the concluding calling-out of "Wasted Life".
The album clocks fast around 25 minutes, but in all that grinding the gears blast smoothly.
