Genelec & Memphis Reigns - Scorpion Circles

'Scorpion Circles' was the collaborative mind-child of Santa Cruz MC's Genelec, who also produced the album, and Memphis Reigns. The fact that this album came out in 2002, and has far and wide been SO SLEPT ON ...

The beats on this album (with Middle-Eastern flavor) sound so ahead of their time -- or timeless -- whatever, the point I'm making is that they're GOOD. And both Genelec & Memphis Reigns display precision flows, cutting in and out of the tracks with ease and exuberance.

Haven't found such a precious gem in hip-hop since 'Savage Intelligence'.
Warning you now that shit is 'gonna flip your wig.
13 choice tracks.

yessir, I believe so .. they both seem to release a ton of material, works out nice.

think you'll dig, both gen/mem go great together and rip it up. "Anarchist Cookbook" is the business.

Savage Intelligence is def a favorite

I should really in bed, but instead sitting here spinning Chicken Soup over and over again. Fucking love it!

Have you heard Organized Konfusion's Stress dude? I don't know much hip-hop, but that album is one of my all-time favourites, along with Main Source's Breaking Atoms.

This is classy shit, so good. Thanks again!

Marcus.

yeah I'm down with organized konfusion -- the extinction agenda, RAAAWH.

Digging this album still..

Genelec was prob a better producer than lyricist, but his shit is like a perfect set for Memph to destroy it.
